Difficult Times - But there are still plans for me.

Jeremiah 29:11-14 (NIV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”

This past week was filled with difficult things to face...prospect of coming home early and finding out I am torn between staying longer and coming home sooner; a dear childhood friend facing the passing of her father and a co-worker’s life coming to an abrupt end.

These things all reminded me of the battles I had been through this past year. It also reminded me that God has been there with me along the way. To face any of these things alone without him would be more than I could take, as it is I look to the future with hope because I know that God still has plans for me.
